Big Announcements: From Rocky Horror Raffles to Holiday Shows!

Exciting news from ALT! Sherrie Hillman won a signed Tim Curry photo in The Rocky Horror Show raffle. While the Best of the Best Broadway concerts on November 23rd & 24th are sold out, look forward to upcoming performances with Thomas M. Taylor on January 4th and Bobby Darin & Friends on March 1st & 2nd. For the holidays, join us for A Christmas Carol from December 13th-22nd, directed by Kevin Frakes in his final show.

Alton Little Theater Brings “Rocky Horror – The Musical” to Life for the First Time!

Alton Little Theater presents Rocky Horror - The Musical for the first time ever, with seven thrilling performances from October 25th to November 3rd, including a special Midnight Show on Halloween! Expect all your favorite songs, enhanced choreography, and interactive fun. Prop bags will be sold, and audience costumes are encouraged. Tickets are $25. Recommended for ages 14 and up. Don’t miss this cult classic!

Eric Sykes Joins Alton Little Theater as New Executive Director

Alton Little Theater is excited to welcome Eric Sykes as its new Executive Director starting January 1, 2025. Eric brings experience from Alfresco Theater and a passion for ALT, where he previously worked on Singing in the Rain. He will succeed longtime Artistic Director Kevin Frakes, who is retiring after 57 years. Eric aims to build on ALT’s legacy and expand its community reach. Lee Cox will remain in a mentorship role, supporting productions through mid-2025.

CHANGES ARE A COMIN’ at the Alton Little Theater Showplace as the Oldest, Continuous Community Theater in Illinois ushers in the “Sparking” 91st Season!

Alton Little Theater’s 91st season, running from September 2024 to May 2025, will feature five mainstage plays and musicals, plus five concerts and special events, offering something every month. Highlights include new directors, popular comedies, musicals like Rocky Horror and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and holiday favorite A Christmas Carol. Season tickets are available, and auditions are open to everyone.
