Alton Little Theater Brings “Rocky Horror – The Musical” to Life for the First Time!
Alton Little Theater (ALT) is buzzing with excitement as it gears up for its first-ever production of Rocky Horror – The Musical! This cult-classic is set to take the stage for seven electrifying performances from October 25th through November 3rd, with a special Midnight Show (11:59 pm) on Halloween, October 31st! Fans can expect ALT to go all out for this fan-favorite, with audience participation encouraged, “prop” bags available for purchase, and plenty of chances to dress up and let loose.
You may think you’ve seen Rocky Horror before, but ALT promises to bring its own special twist to the show’s iconic moments! While the naughty fun, science fiction, and thrills will all be there, ALT will elevate the experience with enhanced choreography and dazzling staging at the Showplace.
Written by Richard O’Brien, Rocky Horror pays tribute to B-movie sci-fi and quirky entertainment, but also offers a unique spin on the “fall of man.” With Brad and Janet representing Adam and Eve, and Frank-N-Furter embodying temptation, the story brings a deeper edge to the otherwise flamboyant spectacle. And yes, fan-favorite numbers like “Time Warp” and “Science Fiction” will be performed live on stage by a talented cast that has been rehearsing since mid-August!
Directed and costumed by Becca Peach, with choreography by Orcennio Gaines and music direction by Elizabeth Leigh, this production is set to be a showstopper. Becca, a longtime Rocky Horror fan, has dreamed of directing this show since her teenage years. She is thrilled to both direct and perform in a production she’s envisioned for years!
