Alton Little Theater: Celebrating the Holidays and Looking Ahead
Alton Little Theater recently wrapped up a highly successful run of “Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder,” featuring 15 talented actors in their Studio Series this January. Now, the focus shifts to the festive season as the theater group gears up to celebrate with “The Best of the Best Christmas Concert.” Hosted by Anne and Kevin Frakes, the event will spotlight regional talents including Abigail Stahlschmidt, Eric Strothers, Margery Handy, Becca Peach, Elizabeth Leigh, and Jess McCawley. The concert will conclude with a holiday showcase presented by Eddie Hitchcock and his talented students.
While the Sunday, December 10th show is sold out, there are still seats available for Saturday, December 9th at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 618-462-3205 or through the theater’s website. The concert promises an evening filled with live musical performances, festive libations, and the joyous sights and sounds of Christmas.
Post-holidays, ALT will host auditions for “Best of the Best Country Love” for the Valentine’s weekend. The new year at ALT is also packed with theatrical excitement, featuring fifteen actors performing new plays over three weekends in January. Additionally, rehearsals for “The Fourposter,” featuring two newly cast actors, will commence for the mainstage show in February.
The ALT Showplace is set to be a beacon of beautiful music and artistic talent, ensuring an engaging start to 2024. For any questions or to purchase group tickets, please contact ALT’s Executive Director, Lee Cox, at 618-462-3205.
